Do you have what it takes?

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for commercialization and the technical promotion of all steel foundation solutions and associated products (sheet piles, foundation pipes, foundation beams, plates, accessories, etc.) in the respective geographical area (Ukraine & Moldova region) by combining commercial skills, customer relationship management and technical knowledge. Your role will be to actively participate in the local and regional strategy definition as well as to dynamically contribute to the implementation of the sales plan/strategy defined.

Background & skills

  • Bachelor/master’s degree (degree in civil or geotechnical engineering, metallurgy will be beneficial)
  • At least 3 years of work experience in sales and/or engineering (same or similar industries)
  • Experience in business development / sales in the construction sector (preferably in hydrotechnical construction, marine and on-land transport infrastructure and civil/industrial construction)
  • Ability to independently hold the meetings and negotiations with all levels of management
  • Excellent communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, entrepreneurial spirit, teamwork and proactiveness
  • Languages: Ukrainian and English (minimum level - intermediate)
  • Readiness and possibility to travel (on average – once a month) within Ukraine and abroad

What you’ll be doing

Sales and business development

  • Responsible for identifying project opportunities, developing sales and acquiring new customers relevant to the business of the company with the objective of achieving sales targets in line with budget.
  • Making online and offline presentations to the potential customers, designers and other partners, pitching and promotion of the steel solutions
  • Visit customers, construction sites, participating in the industrial events (exhibitions, conferences, network meetings)
  • Prepare commercial/budgetary offers, negotiate and close sales transactions with customers, including agreeing to terms and conditions of contracts
  • Oversee daily sales activities, tracks project status with client and provide support to client with regards to design, logistics optimization etc.
  • Documents preparation and participation in tenders
  • Offer after-sales support and techno-commercial claims handling, if necessary, with support from relevant internal experts
  • Cooperation with other sales representatives, production sites, design, logistics and project management personnel and cultivate a positive and constructive work culture that is nurturing and attractive.

Pre-sale Marketing & Communication

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship and network with engineering firms, construction companies, government agencies etc.
  • Develop, in consultation with the client, innovative foundation solutions on major infrastructure projects
  • Implement and introduce the latest technical developments in steel-based foundation solutions through regular training seminars with engineering companies and end-users/authorities.
  • Provide detailed market and competitor analysis and project tracking on existing and new projects.
