We're looking for a Finance Manager

As Finance Manager at BCS, you will be jointly responsible for designing and implementing the financial strategy, frameworks and structures, as well as implementing and identifying risks and opportunities behind financial data. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and the need for alignment at the Business Division level. Your challenge lies in analysing, reporting and making recommendations to support management in achieving business objectives.
Background & skills
- In possession of HBO/WO Accountancy or equivalent
- Experience working in a global multi-line environment is preferred
- Proven experience in business transformation and successful implementation of financial information systems
- Ability to mix entrepreneurship in a larger business environment
- Ability to work in a fast-growing and fast-paced environment
- Strong drive and leadership, results-oriented, flexible and entrepreneurial
- Ability to generate trust both internally and externally
- Able to structure teams and processes, problem-solver and critical thinker mentality
- Has a good vision of long-term goals and knows how to get there, knows what needs to be done in the present to achieve these goals
- Able to constantly balance between long-term and short-term goals
- Dutch and English language skills are a must
- Living within reasonable distance of Hoogeveen (The Netherlands)
What will you do?
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for finalising accounting per IFRS & local legislation
- Responsible for monthly group reporting in BPM (central consolidation environment for ArcelorMittal)
- Prepare and deliver weekly report, monthly flash, quarterly forecast, dashboard, presentation slides, budget, multi-year plan and others as requested by management.
- Monitor and analyse the company's financial indicators/performance/obligations/investments/risks periodically and against the budgeted forecast, to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Be responsible for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting and financial reporting, and help set the company's financial strategy.
- Ensuring cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing the organisation's daily accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities
- Tracking and managing internal/external audit reports, Super Key control, impairment testing, inventory obsolescence, and slow mover analysis
- Coordinate with the divisional finance team for approval of LC, BG, bank limits, renewal of guarantees/comfort letters, loans
- Ensure timely reconciliation of banks, cash and other current assets
- Responsible for tax and VAT declarations, returns and payments
- Responsible for handling internal and external audits
- Communicate with other managers to provide advisory support in planning initiatives through financial and management information analysis, reports and recommendations
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure the company has strong financial management and process automation.
- Support management in achieving business objectives
The Finance Manager reports to the Managing Director of the local business unit with a transversal link to the CFO of the business division.
