In the role of Finance Controller in the CCA region, you will be responsible for driving and protecting the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and performance, and sustainable growth.

The Finance Controller is responsible for designing and implementing the company’s financial strategy, framework and structures, as well as implementing and identifying risks and opportunities behind financial data. The role offers a large amount of autonomy.

 

Background & skills         

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of accounting/tax/regulatory rules in Georgia, IFRS knowledge                                                       
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint skills
  • Analytical, detailed oriented, accurate with a sense of urgency to complete projects
  • Independent, proactive with strong initiative and positive working attitude
  • Able to organise and prioritise tasks well and work to tight deadlines or under pressure without close supervision with good time management skills
  • Will drive/execute key initiatives and see them through to successful implementation
  • Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills with employees of all levels
  • Languages: Fluent English, Georgian and Russian are a must, other European languages is a plus           

 Preferred skills for your future success:

  • International finance experience
  • Professional certification (ex: Certified Public Accountant)

What you’ll be doing

  • Be responsible for finalisation of accounts as per IFRS & local legislation and BPM reporting in time
  • To prepare and provide weekly report, monthly flash, P&L, quarterly forecast, dashboard, presentation slides, budget, multiyear plan and others as per management request
  • To monitor, analyse company financial indicators/performance/liabilities/investment/risks on a periodic basis and vs budgeted forecast, to identify areas for costs reduction and process enhancement.
  • Be responsible for all cash management, capex, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy
  • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organisation
  • Tracking and management of internal/external audit reports, Super Key control, impairment testing, stock ageing, slow mover analysis
  • Co-ordinating with business division finance team for approval of LC, BG, banking limits, renewal of guarantees /comfort letters, loans, review of banking lines utilisation by sites
  • To ensure timely reconciliation of banks, cash and other current assets
  • To ensure ArcelorMittal Projects CCA compliance to ROC (Registrar of Companies); to make certain of timely filings of annual forms and returns and ensure timely updating of statutory books and records
  • To ensure compliance to all direct and indirect tax legislations in order to ensure timely deposition of all taxes and filing of statutory tax returns
  • To interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations
  • To develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure company has a strong financial management and process automatisation
  • To fulfil any other related activities under management request
