As Commercial Director – West Africa, you will be responsible for the commercialisation and the technical promotion of all steel foundation products (sheet piles, foundation pipes, foundation beams, accessories) within West Africa (English speaking countries).

Do you have what it takes?
As Commercial Director – West Africa, you will be responsible for implementing and executing commercial strategies aligned with company goals to drive growth and profitability.
Background & skills
- University degree in Civil Engineering. Additional master’s degree/MBA will be an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience commercial management, sales, or business development (steel/construction/industrial sectors preferred)
- Experience in West African markets and local business practices
- Knowledge of civil engineering, construction industry and trading products including standards, applications, manufacturing and processing, pricing, and calculation methods
- Good commercial insight
- Advanced analytical and financial skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Wide knowledge of various computer programs such as MS office and ERP packages
- Relevant experience on installation of piles and or design of Foundations projects
- Fluent in English language. Fluency in French and/or Portuguese will be an advantage.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity
- Monitor performance and ensure that all agreed commercial/financial KPIs are achieved
- Oversee pricing strategies, cost control, and profitability analysis
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships
- Be proactive and promote ArcelorMittal solutions in the market
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship and network with main stakeholders such as engineering firms, construction companies, government agencies in order to:
- Identify new / upcoming projects
- Introduce new products and solutions
- Identify and investigate technical market trends
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements & internal company policies
- Drive operational efficiency and process improvements
- Mentor, and develop commercial teams
